My team of healthcare professionals and I serve children, adolescents and adults with eye conditions across the Mid North Coast of New South Wales and beyond. We provide diagnosis and management of various eye diseases including glaucoma, cataracts, ocular plastics, macular degeneration and diabetes.
As a Specialist Ophthalmologist and Oculoplastic Surgeon, my residency and training includes a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science (MBBS) with almost 20 years of clinical background and specialist training, including a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) since 1999. I have performed over 10,000 eye surgeries and more than 3,000 reconstructive plastic surgeries on eye lids.
At Australian Eye Care, we understand that eye problems impact people of all ages. No matter your age, it is important to understand the issues and the appropriate steps needed to achieve and maintain your best quality of life, because we understand your independence is your priority, making your vision ours.
Each team member at Australian Eye care has a specific skill set that improves the team dynamic: Specialist Ophthalmologist, Orthoptists, Registered Nurse, Clinical Support Crew, Administration Support Crew and Practice Coordinator.
We strive to create authentic relationships through a strong focus on patient education and an emphasis on non-surgical treatments when appropriate.
We understand that each patient is unique and this is why we tailor a treatment program specific to your needs and lifestyle. Please know that we are here to help you. We will do our best to help you feel comfortable in your own understanding of what we are proposing if you proceed with the recommended treatment options.

Clinic Information
All of our patients are important. We take time to make sure each patient is provided with individualised and comprehensive care. While providing this type of care, emergencies outside our control can occur. While we make every attempt to notify you of scheduling changes, we suggest you contact our office prior to leaving for your appointment to check check the status of how our current day’s schedule is travelling.
If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please notify us as soon as possible. Your courtesy in this area will allow us to see another patient in your place. Please help us serve you and our other patients better by keeping your scheduled appointments , which helps us to stay on-time.
Please plan for at least a two-hour appointment.
This is because we may require special diagnostics tests, which can be time consuming. We may also need to place dilating drops in your eyes, which can also lengthen your appointment slightly. We will let you know if this is the case prior to your appointment though as you should have someone with you that can drive you home.
Our waiting rooms have been set up to be as comfortable as possible, offering cold water, tea and coffee facilities complete with biscuits, magazines and a television.
“It’s essential for us that our patients get personalised suggestions on who from our team is the best match. We strive to offer the best, approachable service and advanced eye care treatments designed around our patients’ needs”.
